Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

I'd leave if I could

I'm only at this place because my wife has a really good job locally. Otherwise, I'd be long gone. I've worked at several of our competitors, and the issues here are something else entirely. It's like everybody who's here is either just starting out, actively looking to leave, or trapped like I am. It all boils down to management creating an impossible situation for everyone trying to do the work.

@wt saying something saved millions of lives is just bad science. You are probably just repeating what you heard without knowing any better. Otherwise, show me your alternate reality viewing device that gave you those numbers.

@k7 are you still stuck on that one? You're the one that left rather than take a vaccine which helped save the lives of millions including your former coworkers. Either way, it’s been a few years, let it go.

Stupid management forcing everyone to take that stupid vaccine or consider your self resigned then after 4 years they will layoff you anyway. Karma will deal with them, that is how universe works.

@OP I get where you’re coming from - I’d probably be out the door too if circumstances were different. But between being a little too lazy to reinvent myself and not exactly feeling like I’ve got the perfect resume to make some big dramatic move, here I am.

So yeah… trapped might be a strong word, but let’s just say I’m not here because the stars aligned. More like… inertia and questionable career confidence aligned.

Same, probably, true for most people I know here.

@ae I understand you're frustrated, a lot of people are feeling the strain right now, but saying this has always been the worst place to work just isn’t accurate. Even though we may be down at the moment, there were absolutely times when this company was considered one of the best corporate environments to be part of.

Things have changed, and not always for the better, but the company has also gone through long periods where leadership, culture, and stability were genuinely strong. It’s fair to criticize what’s happening now, but it’s not fair to erase the years when things were working well and people were proud to be here.

Same. Like any Zayo or atrium will be any better. It’s the same leadership at each place minus c suite and they won’t do anything different.

I'd leave too. I've been here over a decade. It's the worst place I have worked by far. They should be ashamed with what's going on in this horrible company. I'm just waiting on my retention bonus and see ya!
