There is no hiring freeze, recruiters are slow to process applications with horrible new database. I interviewed for 2 different positions and each job had a different recruiter. I told each that I applied to one position but my information disappeared. I thought I did something wrong so I did it again and it stuck. But it happened again on my second application with the other job. Both recruiters said that it is a common occurrence. They didn’t bash the system or say anything negative but it’s obvious they’re pi---d off.

Some long needed changes at the top with Fletcher leaving and it’s my understanding it will have a trickle down effect into a lot of areas that have become stale and stagnant including operations and hr/recruiting. I’m onboard, I know for a fact that good people are miserable.
The slowness in hiring is growing worse and the system is being described as “an epic failure” (not my words). Recent reports indicate the database chosen isn’t even in the top 25 for enterprise applicant systems. Issues are piling up and there is word Cisco is missing out on key hires due to a slow and challenging scheduling system.
Recruits usually first to go.you don’t need them if you are not hiring
My team hasn’t had an external hire for years. I feel like the larger market is in a hiring slump, but Cisco can’t even keep up. I think they are still waiting for agents to replace everyone. 😂
my org just announced a massive headcount increase for H2
@dz that’s not how a hiring freeze works; especially when working with interns.
They are definitely under hiring freeze. Not converting interns to full time roles.
Says “layoffs soon” provides no evidence and doesn’t appear to work here. Meanwhile in our org hiring is underway
They just changed systems a month ago might be working out issues
