Microsoft may have been correct in their statement about no mass layoffs of employees. That doesn't mean they are not going to layoff 22k contractors. Contractors are not "employees" in the legal jargon of the statement.

Was the rumor stemming from just that one Blind user, or are there other people claiming that they've also heard about it? I'm not sure who to believe here.
