Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Genuine question…

Why are offshore folks so bad at using Git? Branch management and conflict resolution are always so awful on-shore folks in our team always put out fires caused by offshore folks.(lots of rebasing and cherry picks)

It’s very simple that most people don’t even think 🤔

Offshore folks do couple weeks training and get H1B jobs. They only have sufficient knowledge enough to get hired and take away American jobs. They only have one trick pony without solid education or detailed backbone. They too need jobs so American Companies hire them as cheap labor. You get what you pay.

You didn’t hear this from a Cisco Director.

Because sbg has no developers. Just a lot of monkeys with keyboard.

This extends all the way up from git to Github

SBG alone has thousands (yes) of repos in Github, most of which are abandoned or bitrotted

Github sales folks just lick their chops at the thought of draining cash from id--t companies that have no discipline

We do not care, we only push. If someone pushes onshore, and it breaks on IST, we roll it back and yell about it and become heros when onshore wakes up.
