Kobayashi leadership approach driving Canon USA today prioritizes American headcount reduction over business renewal. U.S. employees continue to absorb the impact of restructuring, while decision-making authority and Japanese senior roles remain disproportionately protected.

This imbalance has produced stagnation. There is no breakthrough innovation, no decisive reinvestment, and no credible plan to stop the erosion of the business. Instead, the organization is led by Japanese who reward alignment over accountability and compliance over results.

Canon USA requires a leadership reset—fewer insulated executives, fewer symbolic titles, and more empowered leaders who understand the U.S. market and are willing to act independently, not simply affirm directives. Look in the mirror Kobayashi, you are the point of failure and why most of the American employees hate working at Canon USA,

MO won’t care because he wasn’t at the helm. Odds are they will never share it because it will only make things worse.

No one have a positive spin on the culture and heartbeat that is Canon USA. We are all sitting here just waiting to be told that we are no longer needed.

We are all su-kers!

Don't be surprised it either revealed disatisfaction or they are trying to come up with a positive spin. Either way, the likely revealed a low opinion of the company and they won't care what anyone thinks. The company has become callous since SK took over with a chainsaw.
