For those who are managers what is being said about the absolutely dismal state of rhe company and the rock bottom morale? Productivity will be at an all time low as no one cares at all anymore.

@ne there really is no such thing as a free lunch....and if your loyalty an be bought for a breakfast and lunch... wow you really are cheap
So is the morale situation different this time than it has been in the past or does everyone just have short memories? I joined in 2023 so I don't have knowledge of earlier layoffs. This, to me, like a "this, too, shall pass." Where we're just not yet to the passing point yet.
If they really wanted to improve morale they would give out free breakfast and lunch
Isn't having quarterly townhalls telling you how wonderful Chevron is, not working for you? Seems that's the only tool they have! Or care to use.
Just waiting for the next morale ki-ling decision to surface.
As has often been said, as a management mantra, the beatings will continue until moral improves.
OP
Morale is at an all time low. The people who survived the 2025 layoff are so afraid the axe will fall on them in the neat future, people have stopped exerting any effort. It's actually disappointing to see the state of things as they are currently.
Part of the problem is all the new contractors, MSP teams and the addition of the Chevron employees in low cost countries. I do not have any problem with any of them as individuals people. They have families and want a job. However, the problem is the large mass migration of the workforce to a staff that lacks Chevron work experience. The new staff have trouble completing anything because they lack the knowledge to implement correct work practices. Not much we can do at this point.
