It was not specified what areas of Optum would be impacted.

Wellmed Quality team, main office in San Antonio, was impacted for the 3/19 layoffs. It was announced in a team meeting. The majority of the work was sent offshore.

my directory was let go in the last layoff! I was told I was on the list but I guess I was not chosen! So far Jan and Feb dates were correct. March date is next week, lets see what happens

This is not someone getting off on scaring people. I was laid off on 1/23. Grade level 30 - 14 years of service. Steady promotions throughout my time with the company. All 4 or 5 merit scores. Others laid off in my dept also had a solid performance history. So not just trimming under-performers.

I had two former coworkers reach out to me over the weekend to inform they had been laid off on 2/19.

With two of four dates accurate I wouldn’t discount the other dates as “scare tactics”. Wake up. This is life in corporate america today.

Well the 2/19 date was correct. Had layoffs at OptumRx. So far a few GL 29s and 30s. Does the same department ever get hit twice?

Fake news. Worker bees are never given a heads up by direct manager. Only way anyone finds out about layoffs is on the day they are cut. Otherwise if a survivor never hear a thing is nothing touched your business unit. Been that way for 17 years

This is ALL true and any director impacted was told on Friday. It will be the 23rd instead of the 22nd for the first area, only because we all have tomorrow off.

@qt You don't need a WARN notice if it is less than 50 people per address. WARN notices almost never apply to Optum RIFs.
