Just checking if the Brit’s got their RSUs as part of the redundancy program. It would be very bad form if EM didn’t give to us after all but wouldn’t surprise me with this company. Im playing the waiting game for the Australia communication.

I was offered a step down role doing something different, resigned turned down the role - hence resigning, and lost my RSU's. They never confirmed this would happen when i was aksing about it, and only spoke in broad terms throughout the process. Understandable that it would happen, but disappointing given that they are supposed to be a reward for work done many years ago to the Company's benefit - already realised, in difficult hard to staff locations. Happier in my new company, not dealing with the annual hunger games, similar compensation but without the PDS bull.
@m7 shameful! but hardly surprising… after all, we ARE ExxonMobil
@OP In 2024, ExxonMobil terminated all Brussels-based traders employed under Belgian contracts who refused a forced relocation to London under a non-competitive UK contract.
Throughout the process, the IPO office communicated only in broad, generic terms, repeatedly stating that all cases would be reviewed following the reorganization.
Ultimately, every affected individual - including executives and employees with decades of loyal, outstanding service - lost all of their RSUs on the grounds that an “alternative role” had been offered. This decision ignored the reality that the new roles involved materially different labor conditions, including reduced net compensation, relocation, and working under a fundamentally different tax regime.
…but then again… We are ExxonMobil.
Canada: only get to keep RSU’s if made redundant and not offered a role. If you’re offered a role and decline, none.
That’s great news thank you both 🙏 and the person who asked the question
Heard from IPO they will vest at their regular schedule for those made redundant.
I was laid off as part of the UK programme. I got my RSU honoured, vest after the normal waiting periods.
I bet the company stiffs us and uses the RSUs as company discretion excuse. If it was for Execs, they would pay. For us meet workers, they will not pay.
The Singapore folks also want to know. We had a cute answer (non-answer) in our communication session. No one knows whether we’d get the RSU or not. From Q1 some Singapore folks will start leaving.
