If you were given the choice between a promotion from Band B5 to Band B4 or a 10% salary increase, which one would you pick and why?

Definitely Salary. and I'd also ask for an additional 2 weeks off if they cannot match your number. And get that in writing for when your manager inevitably changes.
Higher Band only means more work and responsibility. Not worth it.
Start taking every Friday off -- that's a 20% pay raise you gave yourself right there.
Some people really care about the title that comes with the Band, but it's literally worth nothing unless you are told you are already at the top of the Comp Range for your role/division.
The comp ranges all overlap, so higher band does not mean more money.
If you sleep with your manager, then maybe it does. I have seen that in 2 other divisions.
Be honest with yourself about what's important to you. (ego, prestige of empty title, sitting at the Big Kids table in conf room group meetings instead of against the wall, etc.) That's important to a surprising number of people, esp. early in career.
Most people press for Promotion or Higher Band.
But that does not necessarily mean more $$$.
salary - I wouldn't suggest taking a B5 to B4 promotion without a pay raise. Worst case you can apply for an open (posted) B4 position later, should you feel you qualify for a B4 role.
I would also choose salary unless I were very close to the maximum salary range for B5
