Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

This place is making me hate my life.

We are all just pawns in this RTO bs game designed to make people so miserable they quit while also propping up real estate portfolios of black rock, Stankeys overlords. He has no original thoughts or ideas. He just does as he’s told to do, and the board is complicit. This company is just about dead, and Stank is the most commonly hated CEO in the world. Nobody believes in him. He’s proven time and time again that he is nothing but a loser with his buy high sell low tactics. He’s burned billions and needs to be held accountable.

@q3, apparently, YOU are the one in a different station of life, whatever the he-l you're implying with that.

OP is the one who sounds like he's too close to retirement to go leave and get another job that doesn't make him unhappy. If he's young and already thinking like this, then he exaggerates for dramatic effect and/or isn't talented enough to get a job elsewhere. @q3, IDKWTH your excuse is; allowing a job to define your 'station in life' is for the very old and near retirement or the very young and not-so-smart.

@q3

You're an id--t if you think that's even remotely close to accurate. I am further away from retirement than you are from high school.

@q2 you are in a different station of life. You’re just trying to survive a couple more years to your retirement at 70. Your opinion does not matter to us. If you don’t like it don’t come to this site.

I honestly don't understand people who bi--h about their job but won't do anything about it. Either go someplace else or shut up. I'm not saying you have to love your job, or that all of us do, but we just don't have to talk about it nonstop. The day I openly and constantly bi--h about my job is that day I leave (not the day I think about applying for another job and proceed to bi--h for 9 months while job hunting.) Do what the rest of us do and suffer in silence; thanks.

You’re not alone OP, I hate my life too.
Just keep interviewing and applying to other places on a personal device on your hotspot, that’s what 80% of my floor is doing. Soon we will be out of this shithole. Everyone making fun of you for RTO is either a boomer bootlicker or doesn’t have transferable skills.

Oh, still complaining about actually going into work and doing your job?

Whelp...see you at the office, pal!

Don't like it? Plenty of other people will happily take your job.

Boo hoo.

Many employee family members fully support RTO and want the 5 day office requirement to continue.

@df who isn’t dreading going in the office?.. Only people I know who like the office hate their family and have no friends or social life outside of work. The true losers of the bunch.

@ap

Fantastic insight but no.

I'll do one or the other and since RTO is mandated, guess which one hit the trashbin?

@ap if you think you have to RTO to “actually work”, then you are the problem.

“He’s burned billions and needs to be held accountable”. Truer words have never been spoken!
Remember when he complained there are too many mouths to feed and that he wants older workers out (our employees don’t match our desired customer demographic). Then proceeds to implement RTO (forced job location changes) and then initiates an endless monthly cycle of surplus actions. Cutting his way to profitability, is the only things that he knows how to do.
