What do people think? A pause to see if the business turns around or even more cuts to come?

Tons of layoffs since last summer but everything is hush hush. Trying to hide it like everything is fine. It’s awful and morale is totally gone.
@1bk which is why we’re looking on this forum for info…
@16r What do you expect? They don't get announced, so it's all anecdotal.
@151 did you get a meeting invite? Is that it
@151 amen
@158 ya skimming the surface considering the few layoffs announced here are super vague
@158 also as has been mentioned by numerous people, many peeps learn more in here about the firm than in any AMA town halls
Also, dude that’s talking about mantras needs to be less opinionated and put his/her ego away.
@12n it feels like there’s a lot of layoffs that are happening which aren’t reported on here… maybe that’s why people are asking…
@14j Most posts are the same 10 people in a circle repeating the same mantras over and over. This head of is… Distribution is… marketing is…. The global offices are…. I’m looking… I don’t want to… Walmart… Greeter? Deli!! Rinse, repeat, ad nauseam. No real problem with that, but the majority are uninformed and most insights are stale or irrelevant. As they should be. Sensitive corporate strategy has no business on the chat boards of a site like this.
Leadership said more is coming. Doesn’t take a super sleuth to deduce that… more is coming. When announcements are made, the 10 person race to get a post about it on here will start again. Don’t worry, there isn’t a prize.
@12v lol I’m not triggered by the site just useless posts like yours
@12n Maybe don't check the site if you find its purpose to be triggering.
@12c People need to stop asking this question every week. When there is news, someone will post about it.
Folks, any Thursday meetings with bosses?
@v6 No idea.
@ty how many % you think in Marketing and GD overall will go in Q1?
@qm Well the migration did earn someone their next big job...
@pe Marketing. Q1.
@q5 That RPS Migration was a disgrace, not the physical move, but the lack of planning/understanding on the FIS end. Oh well, I am sure Accenture will do a better job - just promote that crew from the Service Desk...oh, sorry they don't/won't work after 7. It is bad enough having those sorts of projects, but without a team capable of cleaning up the mess and willing to work all night to do it, it will get even WORSE. Of course I will be working at Food Lion by then and won't care!
Probably some from the FIS RPS migration disaster. Yet another project gone wrong.
@nj and when?
@d1 do you know where the cuts are planned?
@h2 I hear they are hiring selectively. I only hope they hire people who can ramp up fast and do the jobs of multiple people.
I think rolling layoffs will continue for the foreseeable future until we stop having net outflows.
With no hiring, more work/demands, and AI only helping productivity on the margins at best, morale will continue to collapse and the highest performers will seek jobs elsewhere, leading to more degradation of institutional knowledge, lack of progress for business goals, and inefficiencies, which will all make it harder to stop net outflows. Basically the firm will be stuck in a negative business cycle with no end in sight unless the management committee decides to acknowledge the issues and sincerely try to fix them (which I think is unlikely).
@OP More cuts are definitely coming. Buckle up!
More cuts. More outsourcing to overseas workers. Eventual sale to someone, maybe Goldman, and then everyone redundant with the acquiring firms staff will be gone after navigating a transition period.
Heard rumors of more cuts in Distribution in January.
@OP More cuts (already planned).
