As a nosey laid-off PRS, I want to know how the “new” PRS group is doing. Anyone from the field or ROC, feel free to chime in. I know the quality has to be atrocious, unless they REALLY reeled it in. How are the panelists responding to not having “their normal” PRS to speak with anymore, or do they not even notice the complete change?

@1z sounds about right. When I was there, we could each others stats for the day - inbounds, outbound and pushed/missed calls. The amount of missed and pushed calls that laid in the hands of the “new” PRS team was astronomically higher than that of the US PRS team. There were days the voicemails from the night before would not be addressed unless a US PRS volunteered or did it out of integrity for the business. This is at least true for the East Region, where I was “stationed” on my tour of duty in the Nielsen war. We had a reputation for being top notch and the moment we allowed contractors to come in, the whole plot was lost.
When anyone can get through to the PRS there are mixed reviews. But mostly MRs/ FRs get panelists calling them bc the PRS is so short staffed they can’t answer the calls
OP here and appreciate the responses!
Former FR, pay the loser no mind, they’re sour they were let go in the first round; I’d be salty knowing I was the most expendable as well. But you are correct; I was previously very invested in the integrity of Nielsen and just curious/nosey about what’s going on now.
As for current FR, so sorry you guys are dealing with the backlash from panelists and the wonky systems that continue to plague you. If upper management would have listened to their top 5% of US PRS’ for what actually would be the most efficient for the ROC, and procedures, things could improve but… when they get real suggestions they just ostrich up and stick their heads in the sand.
@dc And you're still here wishing you still worked there. It is what it is. Move on
@a5 lol as you continue to work for a company that you believe has a future 😂.
Current field rep here. Homes don't like the new call center and every single home has expressed difficulty understanding their thick accent and their misunderstanding of the panelists and what they're trying to convey, and information that gets passed from Panelist to PRS to FR gets wildly misinterpreted.
There’s nothing at all for a formal PRS to question how the company is doing since they’ve left. It shows interest and curiosity for a business they once were part of and helped build. I’m sure they have moved on from Nielsen, just like I have as a former Field Rep. Your display of anger shows the type of person you are, and your lack of respect for others.
Highlights from 2025
Networks and leagues (e.g., NFL, CW, broadcasters) accused Nielsen of undercounting audiences, particularly for sports and certain programs, leading to lower reported ratings compared to alternatives like VideoAmp or Comscore.
A Video Advertising Bureau report highlighted "deep instability" and historic drops for cable networks.
Processing delays affected radio PPM ratings in major markets.
The Media Rating Council considered revoking accreditation mid-year over concerns like weighting models, sample representation, and demographic estimation.
It is all going to plan. Sink the networks and short-sell the companies that own em.
@a5 lol. Like a scorned ex partner. Gotten dumped and refusing to move on and wanting to come back..... and finding out how the new partner is.....
They'd be upset even more knowing there's actually been an improvement....
Just let go. Focus on flipping burgers
