Need to open a fake daycare in Washington State. Get taxpayer subsidies and never worry about real work again.
@bd Good luck on not getting laid off at your new job. You do know, companies that make money also layoff people.
@ee Hope you don't get sued by a relative.
I'm going to open an assisted living center coupled with a daycare wing.
Tired of being played for a chump.
I had to sell my finger.
I am selling my girthy co-k for $100 a qv
If you are over 50, you shouda taken the package. If you get laid off now finding a good job is just about impossible.
I was able to leave before end of 2025, got a job else where that makes money.
Looking at the recent emails i knew 2026 os going to be a blood bath. Good luck everyone, i hope the real engineers survive. (I couldn't keep watching these layoffs after 3 years)
Retire! 😀
@OP AI taking over is putting more and more engineers careers at risk. Best to just hang in there as long as you can.
@aa I think Europe is laying off more people these days as US companies invest more in US and its employees and/or AI.
@ay It's only good if the money continues to flow, else what's the point.
Layoff / lay on - as long as you are getting laid, it's all good.
:)
Only the Paranoid Survive focuses mainly on macro type stuff. There are a few things about listening to and empowering middle management, but less on building functioning teams. The problem is that Intel never was a functional organization as far as day to day operations. A lot of the development work that is done at other companies is a team effort by necessity. At Intel it is spelled it teiiiiiamwork. There are many outside examples on how to execute efficiently, but Intel leadership has always known better. The only thing to focus on is market strategy. If that doesn't work then pinch pennies....
Your career is at risk by being in the US.
