Is anybody else so fu--ing tired of having this as an expectation? Every time we ask for resources or support, it’s like talking to a wall. They just pile on more work and expect miracles without giving a damn about the people actually doing it.

First, its by design. Its a tool a means in which to exhaust you enough to where you proactively leave so that they don’t have to pay you severance.
Second, you’ll start hearing something along the lines of “if you don’t like it, leave”. This is a statement that affirms several things at once. They’ve got you right where they want you, scared and desperate. This re-enforces that you should be happy to have a job and don’t ask for a raise. It demonstrates to others that they are in control and not the employee.
What are your options? Just two. Its either you do nothing OR you meet their challenge and leave and work somewhere else. While posting here may be a temporary stress reliever, it’ll get you no where. Oh sure, you’ll have like minded colleagues chime in with supporting words but at the end of the day, nothing will change and you’re still left with only two options.
