Remember seeing a contractor trying to pull an old cable out. Hooked up his 4 wheel drive to the cable, floored it and basically burned all the rubber off the tires. Bigger cable but the duct runs had collapsed. These issues shouldn’t happen in CO’s but am interested in how they are going to recover a lot of the older buried plant.
You forget that Tony Soprano had the gang ripping all the cooper out of slum houses to maximize profit.
Look for the old gang tearing up streets to recover cooper!
The Stink is too S T U P I D to maximize profits.
Doubt if we are buying copper to sell it. Some of this copper was purchased decades ago and has been depreciated off the books. Basically free. Of course with the track record of the past years we will probably find a way to lose money on free.
Sell all the abandoned copper. We have seen this initiative before and it came to nothing. You would think that with a good plan and the prices of scrap metals it could be a good short term money maker. Depending on if the prices hold it could defray some of the costs of the CO collapsing.
This is T… We only buy at highs and sell at lows
