Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Anybody else struggling with still being here?

2025 was meant to be my exit year from Wells Fargo. I applied, interviewed, networked, and pushed as hard as I could. Now 2026 is basically here and nothing changed. To say it’s demoralizing would be an understatement.

Good luck finding that magical alternate employer where they dont expect you to come to work and will gladly keep tens of thousands of people they dont need because they overhired years ago.

The problem is so many WF peeps are applying for the same roles. And other banks are figuring something is up when an entire WF is applying. On the street thwy know how unhappy WF employees are so they don’t want to bring that into their company.

It’s the current climate… especially if you applying in your location. Other WF applying out as well, other people from WF or other companies who were laid off as well, AI filtering resumes etc…
