Please stop peddling “the five gears of change.” The HO team is trying to push this concept (and subsequently the work) down to Service. Instead of trying to sell this concept, these GPs and Sr directors should think about how they are actually going to do the work. If not, may be they should be considered for next cascade.

@ja - A field associate here. I can honestly say most of the field has absolutely no idea what's going on, or how bad it is. Most don't even know that the HO positions have gone to India.
They just say things have really changed due to SalesForce amd Moneyguide and have noticed HO isn't efficient like it used to be.
I don't really know when or how they are going to get the real situation and be in reality. All the see is TAP trips and quotas to meet with the occasional town hall meeting.
@ej I've been at HQ for almost 2 decades and have been blown away with how bad it has gotten and how quickly. I thought training my indian replacement 2 years ago was the low point and the ship would self correct. Wrong. It has become waaaay worse and morale at all time lows. The GPs look down on everyone below them and really think comformance is more important than comformance. The stuff happening at HQ right is something I would have never thought possible 7-8 years ago. My goal is to be gone from here by T2. Which, rumors are saying more ISPs coming after T1.
@ej I have spoken to St. Louis area branch team members. It was much worse than they think it is. I left in August. Branch teams would be shocked if they spent a few weeks in the home office.
@ej veteran HQ associate here (I started under Bachmann) and yes, it's as bad if not worse than what you read here. ELT and their GP cronies are out of control. They're spending on themselves like drunken sailors and threatening anyone that dares to question their sh---y decisions. They spend money on bringing in celebrity guest speakers, adding over the top cafes, pointlessly redesigning entire HQ buildings for their ridiculous open floor plan BS, using private jets for all travel - the list goes on and on. The nerve of them to do this while axing people left and right and delivering such pi-s poor service to the field and telling you all to get your production up, up, up while systems barely function should be criminal. Greed has completely taken over. This ship is going down in slow motion, and it's about to accelerate unless the field starts to speak up and get loud. They will only listen to the field, especially top producers. It is well past time for the field to speak up and demand accountability.
@OP The answer is Indians. They will get the work done using Indians. Who Christopher Columbus could not find, Penny has located and contracted.
@ej have you looked at the thread on what home office is spending on? Some the expenses would have the field up in arms. Just start with the things GPs expense but the field can only use pretax money. The GPs need to be checked and the only thing that will bring change is the field raising concerns on it. Start with the fact that we paid BCG the equivalent of Penny’s salary for this enterprise reimagined fiasco. Does the field really think Penny is worth the $29M a year we pay her? Is she really that critical to the company? Same question for the rest of ELT.
@ej Been with the company at the home office over 20 years, which I'm no longer proud of or care to share with anyone. It really is as bad as you're reading about here.
I work out in the field but been following these threads to try and get a sense of what is actually going on in the HO. We have been kept in the dark and any time I ask any level of leadership I am greeted with a side eye or oh you shouldn’t worry about that. So I ask is it really that bad at the HO or what the heck is actually going on in St. Louis??
