It was a farce from the beginning. The organization selected incompetent and unqualified individuals to LCS. Instead of choosing the right people based on skills, selection was based on politics…you help me and I help you. It’s an organization full of backstabbers/ credit stealers who are adept at managing up but achieved little on their own. What’s worst is the nonsense they spout inside and outside the company. A layoff there is needed.

Yes, agree. There are certain backstabbers from the same country in this organization. Avoid at all costs.
Absolutely. This is what happens when the company values visibility over results. Credit stealing and backstabbing are the normal behaviors for all the high ranking individuals at EM. But the company has sown these seeds and is now facing the consequences of that. The management could pivot and find a way to reward real contributions, but the chances of that are slim to none. Thoughts and prayers.
OP: I understand what you say. When I noticed certain backstabbers from the same country (lnd...) in it, we knew they were hand selected by the equally incompetent WeeP to create a place where pleasing upwards is the only way to go.
LCS hydrogen team and CCUS team should be dismantled globally (90% reduction outside US and 75% reduction inside the US). Keep only Denbury adjacent opportunities. PIP the bottom 40% of executives and CL 28 +, allow younger staff to return to base business. Then cut ranking, EBU and RSU and potential of the remaining executives if ROCE LCS is than 8%. Time to go away
@OP The entire company is staffed & managed this way.
All in LCS (DA et al?) who were associated with evaluating and signing the CO2 take (ship) or pay contract should be fired. Huge mistake and nearly impossible to negotiate out of it. The counterparty out negotiated XOM, but XOM is not known for commercial acumen.
Reappraisal is badly needed by an outside, independent company. Many heads need to roll. There are many approaches available vs Take (Ship) or pay COMMITMENTS
Nope, not in LCS. Saw who I would have to work with and stayed away as fast and far as I could. Don’t want my good name to be linked to the farce to advance their careers. The ones who never commit anything in an email and calls after hours to have a private chats to fix their incompetence. Just be careful of the snakes in the grass.
There were a few good people involved in LCS who truly cared about the company and its people, but not enough of them left to offset the downside.
@bs You did not cut it in LCS, your performance assessment reflected it, we weeded you out and now you are bitter. Git it!
Instead of blaming others, maybe you should start accepting your own incompetence. Self awareness makes life so much easier.....
I was in lcs but pip tired. It is the worst group of human sc-m. I hope exxon loses millions on this farce. You can see the fear and panic on the faces of the lcs stooges.
LCS is a joke.
It was created purely by the pressure from Engine 1
@OP are you in LCS?
