Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

What is your plan if Avaya files for Bankrupcy?

I wanted to ask people what is their plan if we file for bankruptcy again? I thought maybe the new CEO could come in and turn things around and we would not go into bankruptcy but it looks like with the new WSJ report, it is inevitable.

I have seen many people on here post to go find a new job and it looks like that might be the best case but I wanted to ask what are others thinking and what is going through their head? Stick it out because they see hope, they plan to retire if they get laid off, actively looking for another job?

I am hoping there are serious answers (and no sarcastic remarks) because I am at a cross road and wanted to see what others are thinking. I really enjoy working here and don't want to leave but also don't want to get let go.

Get out, I did after the last c11. You will have a particular set of skills, skills that you have acquired over a long career, other vendors would love to have them

I learned my lesson on the ESP from my Lucent loss. They would have to give the stock to me before I buy anything. Not worth the 0's and 1's in the data stream.

My plan is to kiss my Avaya stock holdings goodby. Wonder how many people that post on this site even have stock in Avaya? From what I've read I'd say very few.

If it's a "Chapter 11" bankruptcy, do not assume that Avaya will disappear or that your job will disappear. These things might happen, but keep in mind that Avaya did survive the first Chapter 11 bankruptcy as did many of the employees.

The people who need to be nervous are the stockholders and the creditors.

I left. I had a similar opportunity elsewhere, and I don't believe in the vision Avaya exec team is selling. Do you believe in your leadership? If you do, and trust in the culture and principles, then you should consider staying. If you don't? Get out. My two pennies
