As the former employee I could only to sum up that in 2025 O was the saddest place to work through the years.

In retrospective, the happiest day of the year was the day I was laid off. I hadn't gotten so much peace in my life in a long time until it happened

Yes it is frustrating to watch years of institutional knowledge and loyalty be treated as a line item on a spreadsheet. When doing broad layoffs Oracle prioritize short term cost cutting over the long term value of experience and expertise. I mean even without offering other option to continue work in a different department or domain. There are many ways to negotiate with the staff and options before laying them off to see if they will be a fit with another department. But no, this is not an option.
