Our store got holiday merchandise early around September and October, two days til Christmas and we barely have anything customers want in stock. We haven't had any replenishment since before Black Friday !

For go forward stores more than likely you’ll get hit with big shipment the day or two before inventory then be expected to process, get it to the floor, drawn in on maps and inventory ready in one day.
That’s the Macy’s way. No mercy. No rest for the weary.
Which store? I can probably confirm your “fate”. 😬😐😦
But usually getting no inventory after October is NEVER good.
What store are you? Ive had a similar experience as well
They expand your product for Q4 then pull back during December. Your store will look light. You will have your sell off and then spring starts coming in after inventory.
Something big the coming be prepare for the announcement.
@c9 If they are talking holiday goods you are right. However, if your store is not getting filled on basics: cosmetics, fragrances, men's basics, or women's ling--ie, etc, the store is closing. Last orders for normal replacement categories would hit in late November, then no more goods come. Still a good way to identify closing stores.
Slowdowm everyone. If its holiday merchandise its one shipment and done.
That’s the Closing Store playbook.
A good sign your store will be closing, sorry. Macy's corporate always turns off replenishment, for stores that are planning to close in Q1, in late October/ Early November. The goal is to sell down. Macy's has been using this practice for at least 10 or 15 years.
