I'm not surprised. Nike culture encourages taking credit for others' ideas and copying others. They don't promote or reward the individual who came up with the idea. How lame and unoriginal is that? I'd be dying of shame to copy someone else or claim originality for someone else's ideas. But that's what Nike culture does. Managers and leads take advantage of employees, use their ideas, and claim credit for them. And that is why Nike is no longer coming out with original ideas. People are fed up with this toxic culture and only want to get a paycheck until a better job comes along that appreciates them and their ideas, so others at Nike don't steal or take credit for their ideas. What kind of company does not encourage and reward originality, and where does the idea originate? That is why Nike is no longer original or can innovate correctly. When you treat your employees with respect and reward them correctly for their ideas, that is when they will produce the ideas and the work you are looking for to propel you to success. Clean up your culture, and you will be successful. That is where it starts. That is why a lot of startups are beginning to be more successful. Startups reward originality and the individual, not the management or the leads.
