If the market makes a turn soon, do you think there will be Steelcase layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Already happened and continuing to happen. Employees and Contractors alike for long standing projects were axed. Teams merged, and overall reduction of workforce approximately around 40-60% within the last 4 months. Just your every day situation after a merger and a "company meeting" where the new big shot CEO promises things won't change much.
Absolutely there will be layoffs. They are slowly pushing out the old timers in SET. Donna got pushed out and I thought she'd be golden because of the CEO. HNI is not going to care for the Steelcase people they don't know and with all of the overhead the purchased. Jeff will figure out that most of the leadership is useless. They let go people who knew what they were doing so as not to expose themselves. The big programs will get ki-led and they will treat Steelcase like a subsidiary.
