Remote workers - will bonuses be less than onsite?

It’s clear that merit increases are less now for remote workers than onsite, but anyone know for sure about bonuses?

100% true that they created a separate (lower) pool for remote workers. It will be mentioned in the bonus discussions and you won’t be able to argue against it.

Nothing has indicated the bonus pool is less, only merit

That’s a tough one because bonuses and LTI are semi written into the role comp. Example - if you’re a grade 14, it says your bonus is 15%. Gray area is that you get 15% if the pool is funded at 100% AND your review/rating warrants 100% - which your leader has some range flex on when issuing comp. So I think this one might be harder to pay less on. At least for the 2025 payout. Another thing to consider, that a leader opened my eyes to a while ago, is that bonuses are actually less of a financial hit than merit because it’s one time. If I give someone a 5% raise that’s year over year now, regardless of how the company performs.

They don’t even have to say it at this point as it’s obvious they will be smaller bonuses for remote.

Officially managers do not know. The email only mentioned merit increases and geo codes. Bonus funding was not mentioned in regards remote people on the manager only email.

But I have high confidence they will sc--w over remote.
