Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Lots of friends and family are porting to TMO after the massacure

The strategy is not working so well to delight the customers. Don't CEOs realize that word of mouth via your worker bees is crucial to company success. Anyone else have friends jumping ship? I am not even bad mouthing VZ, this is all being done based on their own intentions from all the news about the RIF and knowing I was a casualty.

Moved to an mvno years ago for my household lines cuz it was cheaper than with Vz emp discount. Far better cust service too, not to mention a better network experience. No brainer.

@bb I don't find the mere concept of layoffs as egregious as the reasoning. Verizon was stagnant but not in a complete downward spiral, justifying this layoff

I recommend Vz value brand Visible, cheap and our Vz network.

@bb - "Verizon is the best and we see your not a network person."

DREAM ON dude. Verizon's day of having the best network are in the rear view mirror. Both T-Mobile and AT&T have better overall performing networks.

Every company did layoffs. Its the same stuff everywhere. Just because Amazon, target, and Google laid off the same amount of worker. Doesn't mean im not gonna use their services. Just d-mb reason, I get being sour and you can def choose what you want. But that reasoning is d-mb. The wireless industry is done growing, everyone has a phone and there are too many choices. Its all about the overall value it gives you and what you need it for.

@az Verizon is the best and we see your not a network person . But I always say, get what's the cheapest for your driving footprint. One less person anyday over lines

I’m doing the 30 day T-Mobile test drive. Allows me to switch between carriers to see coverage differences. TMO and VZ coverage has been pretty close but TMO’s speed blows Verizon out of the water. Their LTE coverage is faster than VZ’s 5G. Signed the rest of my family up for the trial today. Can’t wait to call Verizon and tell them to take a hike. They destroyed what was once a best in class company. Thankfully Hans will still get his $25 million this year SMH.

@OP still a great move by Verizon and cost saving on headcount. So take your phone. There was a reason you had Verizon. Don't ask for a discount when you come begging back

Oh no I lost a $200 per month worker\customer when I fired the worker making $10000 per month.

Looking at social media, public reaction to the mass layoff (right before the holidays) was largely negative. I did see some people post that they would change providers and leave VZ
