@58f Yes and I spend my entire day on this website waiting for someone to post something.
@527 dude your famus
I have a confession to make too; I am the guy who used to always post about the “@ss kissers club”.
@4xp and this is your claim to fame. LOL. Congrats, you got a bunch of dingbats to do what they would normally do. You want a peace prize for that too?
@4xp you evil genius....
Confession: I started the EA vs ES debates about 10 years ago on multiple threads. All it took was "EA was a great company until ES took over" in one thread. Then a "Those guys in EA are useless, ES should close them down" in another. And I just sat back and watched it spread like wild fire.
EA is toast....major reductions coming along with major SKU reductions
Leaders need money for their bonuses and stock awards
@3v1 supporting the U.S. military is a good thing.
@3q7 we make plenty of civilian hardware and NASA stuff..
so using your logic no one should work for the following
Gas company
Metal company
Tire company
Food company.. etc
Lots of businesses support the military... So using your logic can't work for those.
You're clearly an id--t
@3pq Really? Everyone in EA is trolling this message board on their free time? Or is it just someone who can't seem to let it go that they don't work somewhere anymore, but wish they did?
LOL wtf do you think the military planes do that you make components for? Now I see how you sleep - ignorance.
@3n5 EA is a small community. Everyone pays attention to what's happening at FP.
Not sure where you get off thinking Moog is making bombs. It makes aerospace components for planes and space vehicles.
Clearly you don't belong at a company like this as you're likely a flaming liberal.
How do you sleep at night knowing that the products you work on are used to drop bombs on children? Especially knowing you didn't get much of a pay increase to do so? You've at least demonstrated how much happier you are there by spending time on your former employer's message board....
@3jn
More than my salary plus full bonus at FP. Good thing at Moog is that it's all salary so you'll get it every year unlike FP. They do have a small bonus on top of that which fluctuates depending on division.
Way better culture that respects engineering. Not run by id--tic marketing folks who know nothing. Plenty of work. You won't be sitting around doing nothing or menial tasks like at FP.
Fun work with cool stuff to work on. People are extremely nice. More like old FP than like Mattel.
@3j4 What % more did you make when you went to Moog? How hard/boring is the work? What is the corporate culture like?
@OP Come on over to Moog. We pay more, have better benefits, provide career growth, and treat you like humans. FP (Mattel) have abused you long enough. We actually value our employees.
Heck most of FP engineering is already here.
We're expanding and in need of good people. Rumors in EA is there's no bonus this year so you won't lose anything.
Make the move now!
@22w 👏🏻…👏🏻…👏🏻..👏🏻..👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Thank you!
@2jj they haven't remodeled anything. permits haven't even been granted. the most they've done is gut the building. i doubt the move into the new building will happen in september as planned. we'll either have to rent the current buildings from the new owner or...wait for it...work from home until the building is ready.
@2jh sure.... Right after they bought a new building and remodeled everything in ES. Republican vibe would ki-l the feel of the company and product. Don't fool yourself...can't replicate the talent in ES anywhere else.
@29a I heard they’re moving the HQ to Frisco, TX.
@22w yes that's exactly what kids want from toys. Cheaply made . Definitely not cool stuff. Right. If that were really the case then why even stop at the quaint little town of EA?
Just go china direct.
@29a not a chance in he-l. ES is the most awesomest place to be. All the cool people are here.
Place couldn't run without the West Coast hipster's trying to be chill.
@29a Slow day for you? Surely you can come up with a more believable story than that.
I did hear a rumor before break that Mattel HQ is moving to Glendale, to where the amusement park was supposed to go. Did anyone else hear that too?
@22b exactly why the company is going down the tubes. Cool does not equate to smart business decisions. ES only does what they think is cool and trendy but this never translates to the bottom line. This the stock is worth sh-t for 20 years. Maybe if you'd all get your heads out of your as--s in Cali you for do something that makes business sense and grows the company
@1n5 hey you make all those good points and at the end of the day it's still EA.
There's a reason why it's cheap there and a reason why it's expensive in California. Face it, there's nothing cool about living or moving things to EA. It's not always about cheap. But that's ok, you keep on dreaming now.
east vs west is back, baby! feed into the hate
@1jt Shutting down EA will save nothing. They can't sell the campus as no one will buy it. Many corporate jobs will need to be replaced in ES with much higher salaries. EA is about as cheap as it gets. They should be moving more into it considering the buildings already owned, lower labor costs, and a local government that will do anything to keep them. Contrast that with
outrageous labor, infrastructure, and tax costs in ES. The remodeling debacle that new ES building is that won't fit anyone.
Smart business moves are not happening. If they were, they would be out of California like other companies.
They'll shut down EA waaaaaay before ES goes down EVER. So keep dreaming.
@1ck THIS ^^^
No one's d-mber than the id--ts in ES who think they are all geniuses and movie stars who are running the company into the ground.
IP licensing will not save the company and the movies will be a debacle... We need to sell toys to keep the ship going. Anyone thinking differently is delusional. Ynot doesn't care since he's out soon.
@m8 it reminds me of a simpler time, back in the mid-1990s when you had that rivalry/feud between East Coast–based rapper the Notorious B.I.G. signed by Puff Daddy and their New York City–based label, Bad Boy Records, and West Coast–based rapper Tupac Shakur signed by Suge Knight and their Los Angeles–based label, Death Row Records.
Oh sweet, the east vs west arguments are back.
@dw who said anything about ES?
Those left in EA are so much more talented than those in ES.
How many people total left at the EA campus?
