Then I’ll just put in less effort. I’ve always been responsible and usually gone the extra mile, including being available well beyond official hours. I’ve helped resolve plenty of crises and messy situations. But if this is how it’s going to be, I’ll simply stop being available after hours. I’ll coast until they lay me off. That’s probably coming anyway, for all of us, so why bother anymore?

The communication on non hub differences has been out there since early in the RTO cr-p. Sometimes I think hub is treated worse since we are visible. Plus we have to deal with the gossip, constant illnesses, an having to fake liking people face to face. I will meet all my expectations, but no longer offer to help out beyond my responsibilities.
I’m hybrid and I feel this way as well. Just going to do my job the best I can to stay off anyone’s radar and meet the in office expectations. Not a day more or less. Not working any harder or faster than I have to. I feel very fortunate most of the managers I currently work with are great. There’s one I don’t get on with but not many others do either.
I have already started slowing down. No incentive to go above and beyond anymore. It is rather peaceful, I must say.
Exactly. No longer going to be doing everything and juggling ten things at once and putting out all the fires. I’m done with all of that since it no longer matters.
Agreed! Have similar thoughts. Why give it 110% when doing 70% will result in same merit and bonus. Also fu---d up for them to do this right before merit with no warning. This should have been disclosed at the beginning of the year
