Even tho the Walgreens is less complex they can move products faster than Medtronics in high volume. You don’t see heart devices flying off the shelf daily
Tragic it took so many years for him and Geoff to figure out that sourcing coat hangers for Wal-Mart and sourcing custom electronics are not the same kind of job. We're going to be struggling for years to undo the damage they've done since the Op Model change
@dy fix? You mean broke up our integrated OUs and added a ton of complications to our supply chain? Wallmartized how we delivered products?
@dy: “Fixing”? Please note that MDT is a medical device manufacturer, and all components are governed by strict regulatory requirements. The end users are patients and physicians—this is not consumer electronics or home goods, where a defective product can simply be discarded.
You have to give him credit for fixing MDT supply chain and Ops. However he transformed a premium brand into the Dollar Store. Time will tell if customers notice the difference.
Interesting, isn't Walgreens MDT prescription vendor of choice now ???
Lying and deception is important part of being “Senior” leader
So unfortunate—during his 4 years and 9 months at MDT, GOSC endured countless restructurings, and he left behind quite a mess.
