Seems they flipped it to Tuesdays. 11 of 17 of my team was let go. Including me. All GL's.
@av the company is already despised by Liz Warren, Donald Trump, and anyone in between in Washington. They are trying to prevent the new health laws from ruining their golden goose. Wide reports of mass layoffs would probably kabob any hope of inroads with DC.

@ab It's a nonstop trickle every Thursday. We're only lucky Christmas and New Years fall on Thursday or they would be dates too.
For whatever crazy reason we don't want the share price bump that a formal layoff announcement would bring, so it's only the smallest amount at a time.
A team of 9 had 6 of their auditors let go today. Terrible company to do this the week before Christmas

@aa quality hasn't mattered in a long time based on the decisions made by execs.
I got an invite like that this morning. I was laid off. I hope that's not the case with you OP, but I would go in prepared for the worst.
@a6 I don't think the layoffs today are larger than the other ones this year, but can't tell yet. My team lost people in the spring, summer and fall. I am no longer there, but would expect some cut today as well. And it is no longer just the large waves of layoffs but smaller ones all through 2025. I encourage everyone to refresh their resumes if they are a US employee.
A friend of a friend was layed off today from an audit team. Another person on that team has an invite😔 and is scared. I guess quality isn't going to be important anymore.
We were told org wide layoffs today on our call. Fortunately not much impact to our small team. Always so sad to see this right before the holidays! Wish our fiscal year could be different than the calendar year. Some big pharma companies do July 1 through June 30 …. At least you’re doing layoffs for the summer and not the holidays.
I was re-orged. Manager said there are RTFs happening today as well as re-orgs
Yeah, that doesn't sound good. No good manager would send out a vague meeting invite like that without some sort of context unless it was a layoff type meeting. Sorry!
