Town hall became “all about me” CFO spends 30 minutes talking about himself and his wife instead of the growth, health of the company. While he was patting himself on the back for taking the job, I got 35 emails and 2 phone calls I then had to deal with so he can get paid.

Felt like a Ted Talk for institutional shareholders at a closed door meeting in Manhattan, and maybe it was. But at a company town hall we want to hear about the nuts and bolts. You don’t need to sell us on yourself because we as employees do not mean a thing in terms of you staying as CFO.
