This is GS’s trademark incompetence, executed with clockwork predictability. Every quarter it’s the same pathetic scramble to paper over their failures: slash jobs, gut teams, and hope no one notices the leadership has no idea what it’s doing. The profit targets aren’t just off they’re delusional and instead of addressing the real problems, they take the lazy way out and cut people until the numbers finally stop screaming.
And the so-called “rescue plan”? A transparent cop out. Outsource everything to India, shove whatever’s left onto AI systems, and pretend it’s visionary strategy instead of a desperate attempt to compensate for leadership that’s completely out of its depth. It’s not innovation, it’s abdication.
Massive cuts in engineering. Garish slashed 2026 personnel budgets.
