@4yz Thats horseshet, BNSF and the Union love their employees and they will keep working strong to keep you on. Exempts.... Enjoy you 80% bonus this year. Remember, your life as a manager isn't a legacy in the company, they don't care about you, fortworth makes all the calls. Be there for your employees.... Your exceeds target or far exceeds target doesn't require you to fire employees. Be a good person and look out for your fellow employees. Unions.. remember you are sc-m... reach out to the employees once in a while. Even if they aren't in trouble. Make good negotiations that protect the employee... See how that $20,000 bonus worked out for conductors? They are getting laid off pretty fast aren't they. WRITE IN PROTECTIONS FOR EMPLOYEES, WITHOUT EMPLOYEES, YOU WON'T GET VERY MUCH $$$$ IN UNION DUES.

Word is January 13, at 11:00 am for conductors, when the system re-bid occurs, BNSF is going to take an ax to TY&E, system wide, they’ve cut significantly already all new hires that were not in closed seniority districts hired in 2024 and 2025, and the word is in corporate that they are going to slash those areas next, north town, Cicero, Chicago, Havre, Mandan, Vancouver, and Seattle, Interbay, and Ferris of all loan outs. California is being spared along with parts of the South Trans Con for for vehicle shipments and for what the carrier deems as high priority Z trains, and vehicle trains to redistribute gas powered vehicles as the electric market has gone belly up and to salvage relationships BNSF is hauling more vehicle freight to areas where the ev market is going to take the biggest hits, but for how long is anyone’s guess, as immediate quarterly profit bumps are slowly taking precedence over moving freight so Belen, Needles, Winslow, and Barstow, Utah are going to eventually take a hit based on what crews are costing BNSF in Winslow alone. The Red River division is being gutted internally, and BNSF is simply reaping tax benefits of having a corporate office in Fort Worth, while moving all other business out, and leading out terminals 1 by 1.

@vg they got 50% bonus last feb 1…. They will announce 60% and mangers will still deep throat the company.

Remember mangers/supervisors… you were only worth 50% as an employee this year. You don’t have a legacy in the company, you’re going to be replaced by AI or someone that gets a far exceeds target that’s 22 years old that majored in gender science.

Same thing goes for conductors. Good work selling out on that $18,000. Make sure you guys buy more d-mb sh-t so I can buy it from you for half of what you guys bought it for when you get laid off. Merry Christmas

I wonder if those performance based bonuses owed as part of positions took will be paid if BNSF terminates employment prior to February, can see BNSF saying oh our 4th quarter earnings weren’t as high as we would like them to be, so we need to wait until February to accurately gauge employee performance for the previous year, then terminate them first week of February, never pay the bonuses, claim employee performance was down despite high first quarter profits, and terminated employees are not due bonuses even though it was based on previous year. Rumor is 1000 TYE positions being cut system wide before new year to give 4th quarter bump on paper, and offset bonuses and profit sharing, it was put out already company wide that exempts wouldn’t receive their annual bonuses until after February, which coincides with tax season m, funny how class 1 railroads are able to not only have rail employees cut out of the new tax bill that prevents taxing of overtime, but then have back owed wages through contract negotiations taxed as a bonus

I’m pretty sure SMART holds the contract for both conductors and engineers, BLET simply negotiates engineer contracts for pay and benefits, as long as that’s the case will always and forever be conductors, especially outside of a handful of anomalies that were hired directly as engineers, of whom can never hold seniority on RUP boards, you must be a conductor before an engineer, including the jack@$$ that made the statement that all conductors will be gone by 2029, that would mean yourself in order to make that statement too, and that includes the system wide seniority that goes with it, so please stop with that d-mb@$$ statements that you heard some salty engineer make, who is two years from retirement and you were d-mb enough to swallow before thinking about what it is you were saying

@fk gotta be a low seniority engineer, that thinks when they reduce conductors he won’t be forced out the seat based on other engineers who have gone to the ground for more money until the big cuts start, ignorance is bliss, please tell me more little buddy

Never understood how class 1 railroads can hurt the economy, ship less, make record profits, and the NTSB and congress just say it doesn’t matter, we will regulate air traffic controllers to death but let the railroad corporate office deliberately sabotage shipping and transportation of goods, the economy, and the job markets where they operate without batting an eye

Crazy, new hires are already showing up chasing work in Lincoln, Montana, and North Dakota, and seems the company is pushing to have them move to Vancouver, Interbay, Stockton, Iowa, and upper north east in closed seniority districts, where cost of living is crazy high and once you are there you can’t leave with out surrendering seniority.

Just checked this information, and seems to check out, Los Angeles, Barstow, Belen, Amarillo, Madill, Tulsa, and Houston seem to be doing the same, Teague seems to be the Anatoly, but based on a small location they just hired a few conductors, but may be to offset early 2026 vacations to cover spots, only to cut them off directly after older heads come back from new year vacations, reminds back when they hired people, then right after they completed training came into class and said sorry but we no longer need your services back in 2001 and 2008
