What happened to going back to basics? Our cars are filthy, skeleton staff to run locations, declining market share but hey lets explore autonomous vehicles and be known more for selling cars. Almost 2 years into Gilly Wi--y Westy’s tenure and the flywheel continues to turn in the wrong direction. I can’t believe this is what became of my Hertz!

Every CEO wants to make their mark on the company after their back to basics cr-p which has been regurgitated by everyone else for years. For Gil it seems this is the autonomous vehicles, for Scherr / Fields it was the Tesla, Paul Stone was the fall guy for Kathy who was trying the Clear rental cr-p, I forgot what John Tague but I'm sure someone can remind me and Frissora made the mistake to overpay for Dollar Thrifty which is where a lot of the decline started with 80,000 mile car.
I'll be surprised if Gil stays more than another 18 months as im sure his golden parachute is waiting.
My station was decimated of VSA’s in the spring. No choice but to turn dirty cars. Next year looks no good. Aging fleet will exacerbate the filth customers will experience.
