Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

here is how the upper leadership works at every company

remote
holds multiple jobs at multiple companies at once (board seats)
openly discusses pay with peers
constantly negotiates for more pay
constantly job hopping every 2-4 years

it is only us peasants who are bad when we do any one of these things. old fogie traditionalists work to serve them by making you seem like a bad person for noticing this and wanting in, especially after many got a taste in covid

take your crab bucket mentality and stick it up your butt. wake up and smell reality, don’t drag us down with you.

This work environment is horrible. It is absolutely horrible. I'm adjusting to being far less productive, but it isn't easy.

I agree they need to stop Giving us so much bull MW. They have MW'ed all over us for too long!

If we have to "return to the office" because some workers always had to be on-site, then why doesn't this reasoning apply to other perks like LTIP? If there's an expectation that all jobs are to be the same, let's include the good parts.

@OP I agree, they should just be honest and not try to convince us “it’s better for us so we can collaborate in common areas”. The mini-desk setup is loud and inconvenient, just su-k it up folks. That meeting with LC was a joke.

It seems like they are probably trying to get as many people to quit as possible so they don't have to pay more severance next year on the next round of layoffs.
