Thread regarding Uniti layoffs

Culture

Tough to watch the culture crash like this. It wasn’t great before but the extra stress and unrealistic expectations are causing way more tension than usual.

Oh what a tangled web of lies that some people weave.

Uniti HR leaders should do a check on the heritage Windstream HR people with “gender bias”. It’s deeper than MM. Does anyone know the ratio to men versus women in Human Resources BP?

I try to improve things for the people around me in the small ways we are able, build a healthy team culture and control what you can control and all that — but there are limits. I was hoping for things to get better but with my wage still stagnant and my workload climbing, just don’t know if I can afford the struggle much longer. I can cheerlead a train derailment that never seems to end.

@at
That is right on the money…the toxic comment. Windstream did a ton of hiring uppers via the G-B network. Not all, but a bunch of the tech force have no interest in helping out project management and/or engineers figure stuff out. WS will poison your company, they don’t see it. That’s all levels.

@dw agree. This is why Win’s culture is so toxic. Heritage Uniti leaders are a ray of sunshine. Too many WS Directors and above were put in their positions with little to no experience in their roles, and didn’t and still do not know what the fu-k they are doing. All they knew how to do is lie and cover the VP’s and JS’s lies and fudged numbers, so the board didn’t show them the door. So their lies continue and they treat their reports like they are garbage, quick to throw any under the bus and target those who pose a threat to them and their lies. At ‘Stream be careful to speak up though, the retaliation policy was enforced as good as our border laws under Biden.

Windstreams culture was keep your mouth shut and let your leadership hide and obfuscate any bad news.

I am hoping Unitis culture replaces it. Can't be worse. There are a number of VPs and above that need to be eliminated to get rid of the old rot still. Also a few Directors that either need to have an attitude adjustment or be shown the door.

JS was allowed to absolutely run Kinetic into the ground and Drew helped him by covering with the board and not knowing what the he-l he was doing.

Notice once Tony was gone we stopped hearing from wunderboy CFO all the time.

@OP Are you referring to Uniti's culture or Win's? Because Uniti had a great culture until the Win folks (not all) started with their toxic BS. I'm hoping we are able to overcome it, but it's hard to watch and it's getting even harder to keep biting my tongue.

Oh come on man. Didn't you see the kudos on Ustream? Didn't you get the email about Nectar? Didn't you claim your free token gift?

I get the feeling 2026 is going to be a "hold my beer" kind of year. However bad you think it is, it's going to get worse.

The company has been going down the drain for over a decade. For those left there is little to no motivation to do anything other than just enough to look busy. Uniti will either be sold off as a whole in the next year or it'll flounder along until it's sold for scrap.
