Don't get me wrong, there definitely was nepotism and racism with hiring inside orgs, namely IT, but this all started long before any of that. The C-level all across the US, not just Verizon, sold us out. Not the people working to live in other countries. Yet, somehow we want to blame the lower working people. Continue to be lied to, live in ignorance and be exploited. God help the next generation that will have to live through the same lies they spin-doctor with AI (once it's matured to be production ready).

Gave out jobs to people who can’t tie their shoes much less run a NOC.
We as the people in the 2026 midterms and 2028 elections must elect politicians who r willing 2 go to war against outsourcing to India

@bp: calling me trash because you are a low-life and wont want to work for a living.
@bk: H-1B are all trash and a waste of money simply "only" trying to earn US green-card for residency and having US born babies.

they took er jerbs !!!
@OP: how do you define nepotism at Verizon? Verizon's continuity, perpetually, hiring abundant Asian-Indians and more so within Information Technology?? This is the remnants of the current culture, overstaffed with Asian-Indians ( + H-1B visa status holders) and the sympathetic nature of executive decisions to shift jobs to Indian. Verizon India, the notion being there is more value by hiring India's highly-skilled and dual language speaking talents???
So you think Verizon is immune from the global economic forces that are affecting all companies? Really? It is economics you dum--ss. If Americans are willing to take lower wages and live a less material/selfish life, jobs will come back. It is economics not some sort of evil scheme!
