Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Unused PTO

I was laid off on October 28 and I was wondering when they pay out the unused PTO. Thank you in advance for your response.

I was displaced on Tuesday after a payday. They indicated it would be a separate paycheck but it was not. It was in my last one (perseverance). They took 401k from it as well. I took a hit that day and my retirement went up too.

@e2 I think it just means the OP may have taken half days just to hit attendance and had planned to make themselves whole later. Or a half day that was only 2 hours, whatever.

A day or two of eliminated taken PTO is real money, assuming it wasn’t taken. It’s real money even if it was taken, but that is unethical and all employees are saints now.

@OP It will be paid on 12/26/25 paycheck.

@cq what do you mean "overstating your time off?

I encourage you to take a cold hard look at your prior PTO submittals while still on notice. You may realize that some of them were overstating your time off and you can adjust them in Workday downward accordingly.

I received my PTO within a day of the 60 days notice ending. It was the most efficient thing HR did

Yup. What they said is true. I’m still getting paid every two weeks and if your legacy Wachovia you will get a packet on your pension. Works smoothly

@OP

For specifics you can call the displacement team - I did that when I was laid off on 10/28...very friendly and helpful. She said that I should receive mine in an off-cycle paycheck right after the 60 day notice period, which I believe she said should be on 12/26.

You will get it as soon as your 60 day working or non-working notice period has expired. I received mine a few days later.

Also displaced. in my experience, unused PTO paid out in full after last non-working paycheck received. You should get paid every two weeks under non-working period. Then paid for unused PTO. Then if you signed paperwork, you will get paid every two weeks under severance leave period until it runs out.
