Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

Tech

My service position was eliminated after 37 1/2 years! I was planning on retiring in a few years, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! I landed a great job that respected my field service experience with far better pay! I wished Ricoh had laid me off years before!

The grass IS greener, if your not actively looking to leave Ricoh, you should be! I wasted way to many years in this dying industry.

@ma Virtually everyone who could have actually implemented the "digital transformation" they keep talking about is gone now. As well as pretty much everyone capable of figuring out complex issues that go beyond part swapping. Training beyond "watch this video and take this test until you pass" is rare as well. Does not bode well for Ricoh's future

Machine still not working? The $300 surge protector last Ricoh tech insisted you buy didn’t fix the problem either. Now what? Thinking about other add on things Ricoh adds to your business contract? Time for a new vendor.

Astounded that Ricoh continues to cut techs loose with decades of knowledge. Next time you get the 1000 mile stare from a customer when you’re pitching whatever...
