I said it. Great people leader, passionate about product and people but ultimately the Berm isn’t the right environment.

I never knew him but if he managed down and cared about his teams then he was never going to succeed at Nike. You manage up or you’re gone.
“Great leader doesn’t mean effective leader. Our sales are down for quarters. If the chief commercial officer can’t be held accountable, then who should be? It starts at the top.”
Right. And it could have nothing to do with the incompetent decisions of the past to pi-s all over our wholesale partners opening up shelf space to competitors and cr-ppy products with a lack of innovation…
@nr Reporting directly to EH will finally reveal how much of a klutz she really is. How long will she last? 12 months? 18 months?
@mh CW a master of the Nike nod.
Nice guy that never got anything done
There's so many politics at that level. I'm not sure why but CW was not liked by his peers and leaders like he was by the people.
CW was a fantastic leader. Everyone who knew him was better for it. Tough loss.
The company might dei with this shake up!
The Geo leaders could not deliver and made CW a scapegoat. Each of them aspired to get his role and threw him under the bus.

Because Nike leadership today is a c-m dumpster.
Shocking
I’ve heard nothing but great things about CW and his leadership. He probably would have been a better choice than EH.
This is a HUGE loss for Nike. I have no idea what they are thinking in the executive offices.
