Just had one of those... it was a meeting about why the last meeting did not achieve what the meeting before that was supposed to fix... You cannot make this stuff up. We are doomed.

@dg it's time to show many of these unproductive managers and execs the door - they do nothing of value for the money they earn except perhaps to show up to meetings and contributing nothing. That's the IBM Way. Just look at the CIO organization under Joanne Wrong and you will know that it running on hot air. Contractors are a much better bet, as they are cheaper by the dozen.
yes, there has been a lot of "retirements" from the Execs lately... quite a few if not all were absolutely useless so it is kinda refreshing!
Intel made EVERY employee take an in person mandatory EFFECTIVE MEETINGS class within 30 days of hire. It was EXCELLENT and virtually every mtg was run the same way so slackers could not hide. Send agenda out at least 2 days in advance. Start on time. Late comers put a $1 in a bowl for pizza. End on time. Make everyone take part. If you show up like a wall flower you get called out with a question. Have a note taker who sends out meeting notes within 24 hours. Have a "ray hole" traffic cop who keeps the mtg on track and calls people out diverting the mtg. Have a time keeper. Assign owners to all action items. It sounds harsh and ridged at first but man after the first few the mtgs were great and EFFECTIVE!
And more meetings to follow in 2026 as the layoff lists get done. Expect more failed US Executive and Management departures in April 2026 in the name of "retirements". Writing is on the wall for all of them, including Alvind. Jobs will be sent to India under the "Musical Chairs On The Sinking Titanic" game that only Indian crooks know how to play best.
The meeting to end all meetings usually starts in February 2026. Hopefully it solves everything and puts yet more useless, incompetent but expensive managers and executives out of jobs by April 2026. Of course, the US jobs them move to India in Musical Chairs fashion. SSDD of course.
