Just got the cord cut on me last week but only my boss was on the call without HR present. Is this legal?

No hr and my boss wasn’t even on the call. The manager my boss reported to was the one who told me, my boss refused to participate in the process since he did not agree with their actions.
Absolutely legal. HR isnt HR anymore. Everyone else gets to do their tasks now
This is a new benefit from HR that allows you more personal growth and better work life balance. You and your manager can work it out and you do not need the full ‘breadth’ of HR.

Same for me no follow up or anything from hr or anyone from the company on next steps. Received an ups box to return a laptop and that was it.
Been this way for years. no one from HR present
Yes they can do that. It happened to me the same way 8 months back. My manager laid me off a phone call.
I found a better job with better pay. It’s was a blessing in disguise as I got out of that cesspool of spineless sh---y managers. The grass is indeed greener on the other side
