Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

silent layoffs.

they are silently reducing people and giving out severance packages already. More to come. Before you ask me how I know. Go to your outlook and lookup “usrifsupport@thomsonreuters.com”. Then ask me again how I know and why I would be d-mb enough to tell you all. Not fear mongering but all I’m saying is just apply and keep your resume updated just in case because this isn’t TR specific and all organizations are downsizing due to AI.

@d3 of course. That’s the most TR play ever.

The lack of internal controls here is astounding.

They’ve moved on-call work from the USA to Mexico. Mexico has better worker protection laws so they must be paid for being on-call and there are limits to how many hours an employee can work. Thomson didn’t realize this until they made the changes but they’re still going ahead with it. So the employees in Mexico aren’t any cheaper than the ones they’re replacing in the USA. Thomson is so incompetent they do layoffs to “cut costs” and don’t save any money.

TR is downsizing due to loss of revenue and horrible sales.
