Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Gainwell, a failed identity

Remember when they touted an unmatched employee experience? Remember when they talked about employee recognition? Remember when they talked about creating an identify for Gainwell?

These things have gone radio silent. A constant push to meet unrealistic financial goals the old DXC way is showing again. WFR lists, no bonus structure? No account budgets for recognition? They seem to no longer be interested in creating a company, the pivot to make cash for the Veritas overlords is real. You are a number, you do not matter.

Honestly, for what Gainwell pays, you could get a better compensation package just about anywhere.

Like the previous posters, my first thought was layoffs. Especially since it's the fourth quarter of their fiscal year.

The mandatory arbitration agreements are also occurring on the legacy Gainwell side. When I saw the email, my first thought was that the company is planning something and is trying to head off future lawsuits.

The latest mandatory arbitration agreements on the legacy HMS side of the business are a surefire way of letting employees know layoffs are coming soon.

This forum has become pretty dormant. Has anyone heard anything about a new round of layoffs? Someone told me ~ the March time frame, but nothing concrete.

"Obsolete tech" just means a company wouldn't choose to use it if they created a new system from scratch. And customers that have gone through new system implementations don't ever want to do it again.

I think the maintenance contracts will be profitable for a long time given that:

  • GW does not pay employees well
  • customers don't have any other option

Veritas didn't perform their due diligence in the right places when they bought the Healthcare division from DXC. The client list may have looked impressive but the product offerings are based on obsolete tech. Unfortunately it's a package of maintenance contracts, at best.
