I am a TPM and I work my as@ off in OCI... Late hours, weekends, etc. Now I am going to my 3th year without any raise and my boss keeping using excuses. I would like to know if this is only for TPM or if engineers and other managers faces the same issue.

@OP You can bet managers are getting raises and bonuses. One of my supervisors let it slip that back when they were still doing performance evaluations that her manager hadn't given her an evaluation in years, but she was still getting bonuses and raises. In my old org managers would attribute their new cars, new homes, and vacation/second homes in Tahoe or even overseas to their spouse's job. Rrrrrright. If you were to put your salary in an inflation calculator, you'd probably find that you are making less now than when you started when you account for inflation.
@pr Same here - they have worn me down but at this point, I have too much time and I want the package, along with the fact that every day I continue to work is gravy. Go ahead, lay me off, give me a package - I'm ready to retire!
@pr Maybe you'll get lucky and get a severance package just before you retire.
I only got 1 raise in 10 years here. At least I'm just about to retire so eff Oracle. I don't really care about my job anymore till retirement day.
Next year you'll get so they can repeat the cycle ...
In OCI too.. but super chill life in network monitoring group…kind of 10-5pm job. Life isnt fair 😂
IC5 in NA, Fusion CX, 4 years total, performance ratings 4 and 5:
2 raises, 3 bonuses, 4 RSU grants.

It is likely that you are either (a) not well educated, (b) do not pay attention to detail, (c) are of the wrong caste, or (d) are not a member of the right family.
Been here 10+ years and got a bump twice, but each time it took 4 years and a lot of persistence on my part to make it happen.
I’m not complaining though- I make good money and getting 3% here and there isn’t going to rock my world.
"The only benefit I ever received was it looks good on a resume and you can gain some pretty good knowledge and experience. That's your pay out."
But nobody wants ORACLE skills. There is NO payout!
Oracle loves to find people like you ... working cheaper every year!
GET OUT!
3 years so far...
If you are young, I don't think there is career building at Oracle, especially in support. I got
a raise...after 15 years then cut when the layoffs came. If you go look at job boards, you
rarely see a job with Oracle DB or whatever on it. I'd learn SQL Server, or NoSQL, thats what I see alot of.
You'll simply be told that "you're lucky you still have a job".
Lots of recent "headcount optimisation".
Better change your expectations. The place is a slot machine that rarely ever pays out. You'll always give way more than you're paid and you will never be secure. The only benefit I ever received was it looks good on a resume and you can gain some pretty good knowledge and experience. That's your pay out.
Take what you can and go somewhere else.
Only time I never got decent raises is when I worked for a small momnpop place. After I left, enjoyed bonues each year.
My advice...if its your first job as a NCG, move on. Get new experiances and it helps on the resume.
LE said:” No raise or bonus. Be happy to still have a high paying job in this tech job market; peon employees are expendable, especially in support; just supply and demand rule.”
I just know in Support, raises are few and far between MAYBE unless you are a Tier 1 engineer (some of these folks move to Development).
And don't necessarily blame your manager. I'm not positive on how this works, but every year the execs work out a budget for the various teams - sales, support, development, etc - and allocate funds down to the manager level. If he or she doesn't get additional funding, they have no money for raises to give anyone.
It will never be better, just start planning plan B before you get fully frustrated and loose your energy and power to start a new career path. It is not worthy to stay there more than 2-3 years.
No focal in most years of my employment. New RSU'S issued at a very high artificial valuation are practically worthless.
Work your contracted hours, only do paid overtime, build an emergency fund and invest in yourself.
I'm only hanging on in case I get a layoff package next year.
They don't have salary increments, but they have a good layoffs system.
thanks, what is your role ?
No raise ever. Been here 4 years. Not giving 120% for a company that treats people like cr-p. I take my "raise" in alternative ways.
