Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Holiday pay for hourly employees

Everyone here might want to check their hours submitted by HR for your holiday pay.

If you did not receive a full 8 hours, it is because they changed how it is calculated, they now calculate your average hours worked over the last 8 weeks and divide it by your number of shifts.

Most Target TMs (Grade 35) only get two paid holidays per year: Thanksgiving and Christmas. That's it. There are no other paid holidays, unless you are corporate level or DCs where you get several paid holidays per year.

Average hours is how they've calculated the paid holiday in the past, so I'm not surprised.

Average hours is how it’s always been done. Very few in supply chain actually receive a full shifts worth. Most 12 hr receive 9-10 with 10 hr around 7-8. Be thankful you get holiday pay, and don’t call in so much.

as an L7 salaried employee i'll say this... we are all in this together and sometimes sacrifices have to be made. you might feel taken advantage of on a paycheck, meanwhile my target shares are down nearly 35% (> $70k) in the past year... eventually trump & bassent will fix the terrible economy they inherited from biden just stay patient
