I'd like to start next year being able to focus on my work (if I'm still here, of course). I have been half-productive since this whole thing started. It's not intentional, I just can't concentrate properly when all I can think about is if I'm next and what I'll do if I lose my job. Can we just get this over with?

@f9 And that UFC "deal" is a real kn--e in the gut to anyone who's been laid off in the name of "savings," because there is no way on earth that they'll make more than $1.1B per year from ad sales or new P+ subs based on the televised punchy-punch. Even if they get into the PPV business, it's laughable to think that it's going to come anywhere near paying for itself.
But it's sure going to cement that friendship with the president when Heir Ellison gets to hang out with him on the White House lawn for some blood sport on the 4th of July.
@fa we knew there was going to be cuts because remember we were supposed to cut up to 2000 people and the last round was only 1000. What’s more concerning is we’re being asked to do more on top of the already planned 1000. The place is terrible. AG and JS are two of the d-mbest leaders I have ever been around. They don’t care about anything but savings and have zero thoughts of being strategic or caring about the workforce. Scary we might buy WBD when we can’t even run paramount.

I had high hopes for the new leadership including the leaders from Netflix, but as things currently stand, what are they doing besides some content deals and UFC? Someone please tell me because there is confusion across departments and work flows.
@cf In at least two orgs, they have installed people who have absolutely no understanding of the massive output -- and ROI -- that those orgs are responsible for, and are cutting wi--y-nilly. What are they going to end up doing? Hiring extremely high priced vendors and contractors to do half the work at five times the cost.
The new 'leaders' from SkyDunce quite literally have NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING.
