Thread regarding Follett layoffs

When you walk into your store tomorrow…

Remember this:

They don’t care. So you shouldn’t.

  • Don’t do a minute past your required shift.
  • Don’t ask questions on conference calls. (You’ll never get a straight answer anyways)
  • Don’t NOT take a break for those many of you who work alone.

They don’t care about you. You can try to convince yourself otherwise, but they don’t. You’re a number and it’s very likely they’re planning to eliminate your school contact ASAP.

I’ve been with the company for over 22 years. There’s been so many red flags the last 6 months alone to see what’s coming. The end is near for 75% of us if not 100%. Enjoy the ride and have a plan B ready for life after Follett because you know they won’t have enough money for a severance package.

I’ve been looking. It’s hard to know that nobody gives a sh-t about the fact that I’ll be working almost alone because I have a pathetic labor budget. Cold. I could die in my store and nobody would know or care.

How are we supposed to ask questions on conference calls when they have the chat disabled?

This is perfect, it is very true what you said. Or look for that plan B now so you aren't here standing alone with no RM,GVP or other support.
