Ford needs to learn from Tesla manufacturing systems. Not to rely on suppliers for critical parts and components.

@kd at least I had a 4.0!!! And I memorized leet code!! I had an A in math and went to UofM!!!! Are you mad that you aren’t gifted? Only gifted people do well in both homework assignments and tests
@kd you don’t need either of that when you have power and a pool of people you made weaker that can’t defend themselves. You can keep things flowing and extract from them. I am an MBA god so I had a 4.0 in math and English. I am very smart
@fd And apparently very bad at math and linguistics.
Model E is a sinking ship.
@by You might want to pay attention to my grammatically challenged friend. He said product offerings, not programs. You are a mo--n, I'd also be willing to bet that half of your 'programs' have been cancelled too..
@a7 wait, didn’t the executive team brag about flying out to the supplier right after the first fire to mitigate any damage?
@by They currently has (had) two product offerings, the F-150L and the Mach e. The company recently announced F-150L would no longer be produced. We had two product offerings and that has been reduced to one.

I work in Model e and never have I heard that half of our programs are canceled. That's absurd. Model e has numerous mobility solutions being developed and getting ready to be launched. Do you even work at Ford?
@ay How can we expect Model e to become profitable with limited resources and the cancellation of half of their product offerings? Model e is the sole future of this company and we keep kicking them asking for the moon. Thank goodness we have Doug to help sort this out.
@a6 Model e better get busy selling something profitable, they can’t depend on the F-150 to write their paychecks.
After the first Novelis fire, the writing was on the wall. Yet no one in leadership moved quickly to enforce fire-prevention measures or even show up on-site. If leadership had flown out, met with the supplier, and provided the level of control and direction Ford expects, Novelis wouldn’t have been in a position to cause a second disaster. Leaving an already questionable supplier unchecked was a leadership failure, not just a supplier failure.
Thank god we have Model e to sort this mess out. Trust in our shining stars from Apple.
