Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

PepsiCo Code of Conduct is a joke

So every year we employees have to do “training” about the PepsiCo code of conduct. This is the first year in my many years as a Faithful employee where I have felt it is a performative joke. My senior leadership is very much violating said code of conduct by creating a toxic and antagonistic work environment. And it is apparently CEO sanctioned. PepsiCo is no longer the supposed ethical company it claims to be. Anyone telling you otherwise is lying.

@ny For sure HR only use code of conduct for there own benefit when they see fit. I applied for a job and didn’t get the job but later found out the supervisor they interviewed my was actually dating the person who got the job, when I bought up the conflict of interest to local HR I was told to mind my business if I know what’s best for my career with Pepsi, the next day I was threatened by my senior Ops Manager that I can be replaced easily and that if I even speak one word of this to HR allegations will be bought up about my work performance leading to a termination, I slight argued and then I was to “get out her face” and she slammed the door. Next day after that my work load pretty much doubled and when I questioned it she said you had time to go sit with HR and gossip then you weren’t being utilized enough and now you when learn a valuable lesson. Hostile workplace to say the least.

The code of conduct is useless unless the company wants to use it against you. This is one of the worst companies I have ever worked for concerning ethical behavior, bias, and favoritism. Colleagues can insult someone for speaking slow, complain about them, and make fun of them with no consequences. I know of a Spanish speaking person from the South Division that speaks poorly of her white counterparts on Spanish speaking boards and this same person used to work at Coffee shops which breaks security protocols and be able to listen to management and employee private conversations concerning employee reviews and disability. HR is nothing but people with stone souls, pompous attitudes that victim blame....I don't see how they sleep at night.

I realized this years ago. I could not wait until my turn to sign up for a VRP package (I took it last year). The PDR, Code of Conduct, Anti-bribery are just all a joke. Just click your way through each one. Most people on this site do not get to waste $$$$ millions of dollars, make bad business decisions, and then collect millions on the way out.

And Indian VPs and SVPs across Pepsico are well known for disregarding code of conduct on regular basis. Pepsico speak up process is broken ! Play your games if you want to float, dont be naive about so called values Pepsico claims to project to employees and consumers

Straight Up True Story. I brought up a "Code of Conduct" issue with my Director regarding an employee outside of our group. His response was, "The Code of Conduct is a yearly corporate training requirement. No one enforces it (errr HR) and no one cares about it! It's only used when leadership wants to get rid of someone. HR will then engage."

My jaw hit the ground, and I immediately started looking for a new job.
