401(k) after getting laid off but still on payroll

So unfortunately I got laid off, but I am still collecting paychecks until February. Will my payroll deductions to my 401(k) still be happening until February? What about the employer match? Has that ceased immediately? Just curious.

@OP You should continue to get 401k contributions until your package date. There are none with the package payment.
I was RIFed in 2023 on Nov 9th, paid until the end of the year and then my 35 weeks started Jan 1st. I got contributions through 2023.

Tip, if you can afford it you can increase your 401k contribution for 2026 to get the full Verizon 6% match (i.e., covering the entire year)

You'll need to calculate how much you'd need to contribute and set your contribution % accordingly. That can take several pay cycles to take effect, so don't try to do that at the last minute.

Unless you make changes to your contributions, they will continue as will the company match.
